Developed systems and programs, on an AS/400 platform, in CL, RPG/400 and COBOL/400. Developed remote access to an AS/400 and a DEC VAX system. Installed a network of PCs. Trained and gave assistance to the users.

Client: PC Connection, Marlow, NH, US (a retail company in the computer business).
System and operation support in an AS/400 environment: fine-tuned the system, in a critical situation, improving the response time in 40%. Developed an unattended save strategy. Installed tools, and developed programs in CL and RPG/400 to assist the operations area.

Participated in a period of dynamic growth for the organization, during which the annual revenues of this company alone increased 100% (corresponding to 10 million dollars) after 3 years. This growth involved acquisition of another company, and moving from a system S/38 to a network of AS/400s.
Configured the systems for optimum performance. Recovered the systems from critical situations such as bottleneck and hardware failure.
Coordinated geographical relocation of the data processing department.
Was deeply involved in pinpointing problems in application systems and programs, in packages, with hardware and system software, and with communications, as well as devising solutions to them.

Replaced the school's obsolete computer system with a new, state-of-the-art one that met the school’s needs. This process involved analysis of procedures and needs, selection, purchase and installation of hardware, software and training material.
As computer science teacher, taught Pascal, C, BASIC, and Logo programming languages with emphasis on reasoning through the use of diagrams, problem solving, creativity, algorithm development and structured programming techniques. Taught numerous application software. Provided training, technical support and troubleshooting.
The new system greatly enhanced productivity, and improved the frequency and quality of contact with the school's constituency. Furthermore, it was instrumental in the successful completion of a $4,000,000 dollar fund-raising campaign.
